About Dr. Meyer

Dr. Christine Meyer is a board-certified internist and the founder of Christine Meyer, MD & Associates (CMMD). Born and raised in New Jersey to first-generation Egyptian parents, she completed her medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel University) and her Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Meyer met her husband, pediatrician Dr. Christopher Meyer, on the first day of medical school. In 2004, they fulfilled their shared dream of opening independent Internal Medicine and Pediatrics practices side by side, creating a unique model of family-centered care under one roof.

Twenty years later, CMMD has grown into a vibrant primary care community known for compassion, innovation, and team-based care. Despite her leadership roles and national advocacy work, Dr. Meyer continues to see patients regularly — a part of her work she considers her true passion. She believes that staying at the bedside keeps her grounded, inspired, and connected to the “why” behind everything she does.

Dr. Meyer has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Philadelphia Inquirer, NPR, and multiple major network news programs. She has also served as a Key Opinion Leader in Congress, advocating for policies that strengthen and modernize primary care.

Dr. Meyer and her husband live in Downingtown and have three children: Maisy, who will graduate from medical school in 2026 and is pursuing a career in trauma surgery; Sam, who is deep into (and will gladly continue forever) his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering; and Hadley, who is completing her first year at Lafayette College.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Meyer loves running, cooking, writing, and escaping to the beach whenever possible.

Dr. Meyer and all staff at Christine Meyer, MD and Associates are required to be up to date with recommended vaccinations. We strongly encourage all eligible patients to receive a flu shot (annually), HPV vaccine, Shingles vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine, and other preventative immunizations. If you have questions or concerns about the science behind immunizations or the shots you need and when, your clinician is eager to help.
