Supporting women's health in every phase
Gyn Care
We get you, because we are you.
When it comes to gynecological care – cervical and ovarian health, menopause, birth control, sexual health, you name it – there's no primary care team more dedicated to serving you well and giving you confidence.
We care so much about this area of health because, well, we are you. Ours is a woman-owned business with female clinicians at every stage of life. We keep ourselves informed and up-to-date on the best medical practices in this realm, and our many years of experience guide our compassionate, caring approach. From your first PAP smear to your first hot flash, we've been there. We've got you.
Our patients can see any provider at CMMD for a routine internal exam and PAP smear, or they may see an external OB/GYN. We are also proud to announce the addition of Wendy Ronco, CRNP to our team. Wendy specializes in women's gynecological health, and if you're seeing a CMMD clinician as your primary care provider, Wendy is now available to you for gynecology services and consultations.

New Patients
If you are new to CMMD & Associates, you will be paired with a primary clinician and you may schedule with Wendy Ronco, CRNP for gyn care if you choose.
(You may also see an external OB/GYN – that's fine too.)
You'll see your primary provider for all other matters (coughs and colds and more), and you'll see Wendy for reproductive care (internal exams, PAP smears, IUDs – whatever you need).
Next Step:
Contact our New Patient intake team to schedule your first appointment with a primary provider, and your gyn exam or consultation with Wendy.
2
Established Patients
Female patients can continue seeing their CMMD primary clinician (or an external OB/GYN) for routine gyn care, or you may begin seeing Wendy Ronco, CRNP. Wendy cannot see you for other matters (coughs and colds and chronic care), but she can provide care and consultation for any reproductive matters (internal exams, PAP smears, IUDs – whatever you need).
Next Step:
Contact our front desk team to schedule a gyn exam or consultation with Wendy.
3
Menopause?
If you are perimenopausal or in menopause, we have a specialized team providing supports just for you.

Next Step:
A regular pap smear. A life-saving 10 minutes.
Regular pap smears save lives by detecting cervical changes early. Taking care of this important screening is one of the best things you can do for your reproductive health.
Below, you will find the most recent guidelines for PAP smears. Please note: The following ONLY applies to the PAP portion of the gynecologic exam. The pelvic exam, breast exam and when appropriate, rectal exam NEED to be done ANNUALLY.
-
Date of Initial PAP Smear: Age 21 (This is regardless of age of first sexual encounter. Our daughters will get their first PAP Smears at 21, not 35. Don't bring this up to their father. It is a sore subject.)
-
Between Age 21-30: PAP Smears should be done every three years unless they are abnormal.
-
Over Age 30: PAP test with HPV screening can be done every 5 years, or just PAP (without HPV) every 3 years
-
In low-risk women, screening PAPs are discontinued at age 65.
-
Remember: the pelvic exam, breast exam and when appropriate, rectal exam must be done every year, at every age.
Discuss your plan for a PAP smear with your clinician today. Established patients can see their primary clinician for an exam, or book an appointment with Wendy Ronco, CRNP, our in-house gynecological specialist.
